Click here for more information about the author and his books       The Popol Vuh
is the « Bible »
of the Ancient
Mayas-Quiches.

As other ancient bibles,
it describes Creation,
Disasters, and
Rebirth of the World

The Popol Vuh is the Sacred Book of the ancient Mayan-Quiche people. As other ancient bibles, (i.e., the Torah or the Christian Bible), this Sacred Book describes World Creation. As the Old Testament, it speaks about a Lost Paradise and the Knowledge which humankind was excluded. It makes also, as other ancient bibles, a very accurate report of a major disaster, a flood similar to the Deluge, and which occurred on Earth at the time of the ancient Mayas. Finally, as the Book of the Dead and the Texts of the Pyramids of ancient Egypt, it explains the reincarnation of the dead in stars.

The Popol-Vuh is a very important document both in historic, literary and religious terms. It can be considered as their « Bible ». The Quiche nation is a native Amerindian ethnic group of Guatemala. This Mayan people descended from the « master builders » of Tula thought to be at the origin of the great monuments of southern Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras and Yucatán. Before Christopher Columbus's arrival, the Mayan-Quiche were among the most civilized peoples in the New World. The Popol-Vuh is a lifeline thrown into the sea of our history by an unknown scholar, at the time of the Spanish conquest. In the 16th century, the conquistadors, accompanied by intolerant and fanatical monks, systematically eradicated all traditions and destroyed by fire all the documents of the Mayan-Quiche people. Only the Popol-Vuh, three codices and some fragments of manuscripts, evidences of the ancestral knowledge of this people, have come down to us.

Comparison of two ancient stories of the World Creation

As the Torah or the Christian Bible, the Popol-Vuh relates the story of the World Creation. The narrative of Earth Creation is strangely similar in the three Books, but the description of « terraforming » seems more accurate and poetic in the Popol-Vuh than in the other Books. In both cases, the texts tell about a « Group of Creators » and not only a single Creator: the Elohims in the Torah, and the Creator, the Maker, Tepeu, Gucumatz, the Forefathers in the Popol-Vuh.

POPOL VUH
(Sacred Book of the Ancient Mayas Quiches)
TORAH
(Genesis, literal translation)

L1:C1:P1 - This is the description and the account of how all the sky and earth were formed.

L1:C1:P2 - This is the account of how all was in suspense, all calm, in silence; all motionless, still, and the expanse of the sky was empty.

L1:C1:P3 - There was only the calm sea and the vastness of the sky. The surface of the ground had not appeared.

L1:C1:P4 - This is the first account, the first narrative. There was neither man, nor animal, birds, fishes, crabs, trees, stones, caves, ravines, grasses, nor forests; there was only the sky.

L1:C1:P5 - The face of the sun had not yet appeared, nor that of the moon, nor the stars, and it had not dawned. The Moon and the Sun are the main roles in the great myth of the Creation. The two stars were the first couple in History.

L1:C1:P6 - Only the Creator, the Maker, Tepeu, Gucumatz, the Forefathers were in the water surrounded with light. They were hidden under green and blue feathers... By nature they were great sages and great thinkers. They were the Heart of Paradise.

L1:C1:P7 - Then they planned the creation, and the growth of the trees and the thickets and the birth of life and the creation of man.

L1:C1:P8 - Then while they meditated, it became clear to them that when dawn would break, man must appear. Then they planned the creation, and the growth of the trees and the thickets and the birth of life and the creation of man. Thus it was arranged in the darkness and in the night by the Heart of Heaven and its name is « Huracán » (Hurricane).

L1:C1:P9 - The first is called Caculhá-Huracán (Flash of the Hurricane). The second is Chipi-Caculhá (Glow of the Flash). The third is Raxa-Caculhá (Rays of the Flash). And these three are the Heart of Paradise.

L1:C1:P10 - Then Tepeu and Gucumatz came together; then they conferred about life and light, what they would do so that there would be light and dawn, who it would be who would provide food and sustenance.

L1:C1:P11 - Thus let it be done! Let the emptiness be filled! Let the water recede and make a void, let the ground appear and become solid. Thus they spoke : « ...Let there be light, let there be dawn in the sky and on the earth! ».

L1:C1:P14 - Like the mist, like a cloud, and like a cloud of dust was the creation, when the mountains appeared from the water; and instantly the mountains grew. The currents of water were divided, the rivulets were running freely between the hills, and the water was separated when the high mountains appeared.

L1:C1:P15 - Thus was the earth created, when it was formed by the Heart of Heaven, the Heart of Earth, as they are called who first made it fruitful, when the sky was in suspense, and the earth was submerged in the water.

L1:C1:P16 - So it was that they made perfect the work, when they did it after thinking and meditating upon it.

L1:C2:P1 - Then they made the small wild animals, the guardians of the woods, the spirits of the mountains, the deer, the birds, pumas, jaguars, serpents, snakes, vipers, guardians of the thickets.

L1:C2:P2 - And the Forefathers asked : "Shall there be only silence and calm under the trees, under the vines? It is well that hereafter there be someone to guard them.".

L1:C2:P3 - So they said when they meditated and talked. Promptly the deer and the birds were created. Immediately they gave homes to the deer and the birds : « You, deer, shall sleep in the fields by the river bank and in the ravines. Here you shall be amongst the thicket, amongst the pasture; in the woods you shall multiply, you shall walk on four feet and they will support you. Thus be it done! »

L1:C2:P4 - Then they also assigned homes to the birds big and small. « You shall live in the trees and in the vines. There you shall make your nests; there you shall multiply; there you shall increase in the branches of the trees and in the vines. » Thus the deer and the birds were told; they did their duty at once, and all sought their homes and their nests.

L1:C2:P5 - And the creation of all the four-footed animals and the birds being finished, they were told by the Creator and the Maker and the Forefathers : « Speak, cry, warble, call, speak each one according to your variety, each, according to your kind »

L1:C2:P6 - They begin and proliferate over the earth

1:1 - In the beginning Elohim(s) created the heavens and the earth.

1:2 - And the earth was without form, and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of Elohim(s) was hovering upon the face of the waters

FIRST DAY.

1:3 - And Elohim(s) said : Let there be light: and there was light.

1:4 - And Elohim(s) saw the light, that it was good and Elohim(s) divided the light from the darkness.

1:5 - And Elohim(s) called the light « Day », and the darkness « Night ». And the evening and the morning were the Day One.

SECOND DAY.

1:6 - And Elohim(s) said : Let there be a dome in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

1:7- And Elohim(s) made the dome and divided the waters under the dome from the waters which were above the dome and it was so.

1:8 - And Elohim(s) called the dome « Heaven ». And the evening and the morning were the Day Two.

THIRD DAY.

1:9 - And Elohim(s) said : Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear; and it was so.

1:10 - And Elohim(s) called the dry land « Earth »; and the gathering together of the waters « Seas »; and Elohim(s) saw that it was good.

1:11 - And Elohim(s) said : Let the « Earth » bring forth vegetation, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after its kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth; and it was so. And the earth brought forth vegetation, and herb yielding seed after its kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after its kind; and Elohim(s) saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the Day Three.

FOURTH DAY.

1:14 to 19 - And Elohim(s) said : Let there be lights in the dome of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years. And let them be for lights in the dome of the heaven to give light upon the earth; and it was so. And Elohim(s) made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. And Elohim(s) made the stars and set them in the dome of the heaven to give light upon the earth. And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness; and Elohim(s) saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the Day Four.

FIFTH DAY.

1:20 to 23 - And Elohim(s) said : Let the waters bring forth an abundance of living creatures, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the dome of heaven. And Elohim(s) created great sea creatures, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth in abundance, after their kind, and every winged fowl after its kind; and Elohim(s) saw that it was good. And Elohim(s) blessed them, saying : Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the Day Five.

SIXTH DAY.

1:24 - And Elohim(s) said : that from this land comes soul of life after its kind, every living creature after their kind; and it was so.

1:26- And Elohim(s) said: Let Us make man in our own image; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

1:27 - And Elohim(s) created humankind in their own image : in the image of Elohim(s) they created them : male and female they created them.

1:28 - And Elohim(s) blessed them and Elohim(s) said unto them: Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

2:1 - Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts. And Elohim(s) saw every thing made, and, behold, it was saw that it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the Day Six.

L1:C1:P15 - And thus Gucumatz was filled with joy, and exclaimed :
« Your coming has been fruitful, Heart of Heaven; and you, Huracán, and you, Chipi-Caculhá, Raxa-Caculhá! ». They answered : « Our work, our creation shall be finished... ».

L1:C1:P16 - First the earth was formed, the mountains and the valleys; the currents of water were divided, the rivulets were running freely between the hills, and the water was separated when the high mountains appeared.

L1:C1:P17 - Thus was the earth created, when it was formed by the Heart of Heaven, the Heart of Earth, as they are called who first made it fruitful, when the sky was in suspense, and the earth was submerged in the water.

L1:C1:P18 - So it was that they made perfect the work, when they did it after thinking and meditating upon it.

L1:C2:P2 - And the Forefathers asked : « Shall there be only silence and calm under the trees, under the vines? It is well that hereafter there be someone to guard them. ».

L1:C2:P14 - Then was the creation and the formation. Of earth, of mud, they made man's flesh. But they saw that it was not good. It melted away, it was soft, did not move, had no strength, it fell down, it was limp, it could not move its head, its face fell to one side, its sight was blurred, it could not look behind. At first it spoke, but had no mind. Quickly it soaked in the water and could not stand.

SEVENTH DAY.

2:2 - Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their hosts. By the seventh day Elohim(s) completed their work which they had done, and they rested on the seventh day from all their work which they had done.

2:3 - Then Elohim(s) blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it they rested from all their work which they had created and made.

2:4 - This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Elohim(s) made earth and heaven.

2:5 - Now no shrub of the field was yet in the earth, and no plant of the field had yet sprouted, for the Elohim(s) had not sent rain upon the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground.

2:6 - But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

2:7 - Then the Chief of Elohim(s), formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

The Popol-Vuh makes a detailed report of the way our planet was terraformed at the time of Creation by an unknown extraterrestrial group, similar to a demiurge group. In this regard it is interesting to note that for several decades now, researchers and engineers have been conducting scientific studies on our planet to terraform planet Mars :

« ...all was in suspense, all calm, in silence; all motionless, still, and the expanse of the sky was empty ...There was neither man, nor animal, birds, fishes, crabs, trees, stones, caves, ravines, grasses, nor forests; there was only the sky... ». Thus, when the Group of Creators discovered our planet before the appearance of life,... everything was empty and motionless, everything was outstanding, « ...a day,... on the place of chaos... » according to the Torah.

The Group of Creators began the terraforming and the Popol Vuh describes it accurately : « ...the waters recede and make a void..., the ground appeared and become solid... the mountains appeared from the water... and grew... the currents of water were divided, ...the water was separated when the high mountains appeared... ». Thus they spoke : « ...Let there be light, let there be dawn in the sky and on the earth!... », and so they spoke : « ...There shall be neither glory nor grandeur in our creation and formation until the human being is made, man is formed... ».

The Torah describes in a similar way this terraforming of our planet by a group of Creators named the Elohims led by their chief Yahweh.

Comparison of two ancient myths of Lost Paradise

As the Torah and other Bibles, the Popol Vuh tells about a Lost Paradise and the suppression of Knowledge for Humankind. The first human beings were expelled from the place of their Creation which became their Lost Paradise, and were deprived of this extraordinary Knowledge. The two narratives, compared below, show how the first men had a Knowledge equivalent to that of the Group of Creators. The Popol Vuh explains how this Group, named the Heart of Paradise, decided to put an end to this extraordinary Knowledge. With its Tree of Knowledge the Torah says the same thing and confirms this fall and this disgrace of the first Humankind. It is interesting to note we can find some stories similar in the Mahabharata of India.

POPOL VUH
(Sacred Book of the Ancient Mayas Quiches)
TORAH
(Genesis, literal translation)

L3:C2:P1 - These are the names of the first men who were created and formed : the first man was Balam-Quitzé, the second, Balam-Acab, the third, Mahucutah, and the fourth was Iqui-Balam.

L3:C2:P2 - It is said that they only were made and formed, they had no mother, they had no father. They were only called men. They were not born of woman, nor were they begotten by the Creator nor by the Maker, nor by the Forefathers.. Only by a miracle...

L3:C2:P3 -They were endowed with intelligence; they saw and instantly they could see far, they succeeded in seeing, they succeeded in knowing all that there is in the world. When they looked, instantly they saw all around them, and they contemplated in turn the arch of heaven and the round face of the earth.

L3:C2:P4 - Great was their wisdom; their sight reached to the forests, the rocks, the lakes, the seas, the mountains, and the valleys. In truth, they were admirable men... Then the Creator and the Maker asked them : « What do you think of your condition? Do you not see? Do you not hear? Are not your speech and manner of walking good? Look, then! Contemplate the world, look and see if the mountains and the valleys appear! Try, then, to see! »...

L3:C2:P5 - And immediately the four first men began to see all that was in the world. Then they gave thanks to the Creator and the Maker : « We really give you thanks, two and three times! We have been created, we have been given a mouth and a face, we speak, we hear, we think, and walk; we feel perfectly, and we know what is far and what is near. We also see the large and the small in the sky and on earth. We give you thanks, then, for having created us... »

L3:C2:P6 - When they looked, instantly they saw all around them, and they contemplated in turn the arch of heaven and the round face of the Earth. But the Creator and the Maker were not pleased by what they heard: « It is not well what our creatures, our works say; they know all, the large and the small,... » they said. And so the Forefathers held counsel again: « What shall we do with them now? Let their sight reach only to that which is near; let them see only a little of the face of the earth! It is not well what they say. Perchance, are they not by nature simple creatures of our making? Must they also be gods? »

L3:C2:P7 - « ... Let us check a little their desires, because it is not well what we see. Must they perchance be the equals of ourselves, their Makers, who can see afar, who know all and see all? ». Thus spoke the Heart of Paradise, Huracán, Chipi-Caculhá, Raxa-Caculhá, Tepeu, Gucumatz, the Forefathers, Xpiyacoc, Xmucané, the Creator and the Maker. Thus they spoke, and immediately they changed the nature of their works, of their creatures.

L3:C2:P8 - Then the Heart of Paradise blew mist into their eyes, which clouded their sight as when a mirror is breathed upon. Their eyes were covered and they could see only what was close only that was clear to them. In this way the wisdom and all the knowledge of the four men were destroyed...

L3:C3:P1 - Then their wives had being, and their women were made. God himself made them carefully. And so, during sleep, they came, truly beautiful, their women, at the side of Balam-Quitzé, Balam-Acab, Mahucutah, and Iqui-Balam.

L3:C3:P2 - There were their women when they awakened, and instantly their hearts were filled with joy because of their wives.

L3:C3:P3 - Here are the names of their wives: Cahá-Paluna was the name of the wife of Balam-Quitzé; Chomihá was the wife of Balam-Acab; Tzununihá, the wife of Mahucutah; and Caquixahá was the name of the wife of Iqui-Balam. These are the names of their wives, who were distinguished women.

L3:C3:P4 - They conceived the men, of the small tribes and of the large tribes, and were the origin of us; the people of Quiche.

2:7 - Then Yahweh, the Chief of Elohim(s), formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

2:8 - And the Chief of Elohim(s), planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed.

2:9 - And out of the ground the Chief of Elohim(s), caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; the Tree of Life also in the midst of the garden, and the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil.

2:10 - Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers.

2:11 - The name of the first is Pishon; it flows around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

2:12 - The gold of that land is good; the bdellium and the onyx stone are there.

2:13 - The name of the second river is the Gihon; it flows around the whole land of Cush.

2:14 - The name of the third river is Tigris; it flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

2:15 - The Chief of Elohim(s) took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

2:16 - And the Chief of Elohim(s) commanded the man, saying : «, From any tree of the garden you may eat freely;

2:17 - but from the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die. »

2:18 - Then the Chief of Elohim(s) said: « It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him. ».

2:19 - Out of the ground the Chief of Elohim(s) formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name.

2:20 - The man gave names to all the cattle, and to the birds of the sky, and to every beast of the field, but for the man there was not found a helper suitable for him.

2:22 - Then the Chief of Elohim(s) fashioned a woman..., and brought her to the man...

2:25 - And the man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.

3:4 - The serpent said to the woman « You surely will not die!... but the Elohim(s) know that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like them, knowing good and evil. »

3:6 - When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.

3:7 - Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked...

3:22 - Then the Chief of Elohim(s) said: « Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever. »

3:24 - Therefore the Chief of Elohim(s) sent the man out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken... So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the Tree of Life.

The description of this Knowledge of the first men in the Paradise, is much more accurate in the Popol Vuh than in the Torah. In the Popol Vuh these first men have extraordinary knowledge and powers :

« ...They were endowed with intelligence; they saw and instantly they could see far, they succeeded in seeing, they succeeded in knowing all that there is in the world. The things hidden in the distance they saw all, without first having to move; at once they saw the world, and so, too, from where they were, they saw it. When they looked, instantly they saw all around them, and they contemplated in turn the arch of heaven and the round face of the earth... ».

All these powers are strangely similar to those of our 21st century technology... It worries much the Group of Creators who says :

« ...It is not well what our creatures, our works say; they know all, the large and the small... Must they also be gods? ... Must they perchance be the equals of ourselves, their Makers, who can see afar, who know all and see all? ».

Although more vague about the description of this Knowledge of the first men in the Paradise, the Torah explains also the consequences :

« ...the Elohim(s) know that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like gods, knowing good and evil. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked... ».

Is a nakedness real or symbolic? It may be awareness of their intellectual nakedness when they have access per chance to this extraordinary knowledge. But, it worries very much the Elohim(s) :

« ...Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the Tree of Life, and eat, and live forever...  ».

The first human beings were thus expelled from the place of their Creation which became their « Lost Paradise », and were deprived of this extraordinary Knowledge. But where was this Lost Paradise? In the Popol-Vuh, it seems that at the beginning, this Paradise of the Man's Creation, was not on Earth, but rather in Space : « ...At any moment, from where they were, they saw all, they saw the round face of the Earth... there where they were, they could see over all the world. »

Unlike the Popol-Vuh, the Torah and the Christian Bible located the Lost Paradise on Earth, they call it « Garden of Eden », and give precise geographical indications on its location : « The head of the Elohim(s) planted a garden toward the east, in Eden, took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.... A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers. The name of the first is Pishon: this is the one which flows through the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold... The name of the second river is Gihon: the same river that flows through the whole land of Cush... The name of the third river is Tigris; it flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates...  » These geographical indications correspond to ancient Mesopotamia, today called Iraq.

What can we conclude ? Have there been two Lost Paradises at the time of the terraforming of our planet, one in Space and the other on Earth ?

Comparison of two ancient narratives of the Deluge

We find in the Popol Vuh a very accurate narrative of a major disaster, similar to the Deluge, and that occurred on Earth at the time of the ancient Mayas.

The stories of the Popol Vuh and the Torah (or Christian Bible) tell that this Deluge was caused by the Group of disgruntled Creators to punish « all creatures living on the ground » who had disappointed them. In the Torah (or Christian Bible), only Noah and his family survived together with a couple of each species of birds and animals « living on the ground ». The living world was regenerated from these survivors. In the Popol Vuh, the early humans are completely destroyed and the Group of Creators recreates a new race of creatures.

Should we think that this disaster was provoked by the Creators or is it a cosmic catastrophe which destroyed first humankind except for some survivors? It seems it can be explained by the descriptions of Popol-Vuh. The myths often hide historical realities. Interestingly, many similar myths of flood or major disaster have been found in Mesopotamia, China, Tierra del Fuego, among the Incas, in Africa and among the Indians of America.

POPOL VUH
(Sacred Book of the Ancient Mayas Quiches)
TORAH
(Genesis, literal translation)

L1:C3-P2 - A flood was brought about by the Heart of Heaven; a great flood was formed which fell on the heads of the creatures...

L1:C3-P4 - But those that they had made, that they had created, did not think, did not speak with their Creator, their Maker. And for this reason they were killed, they were deluged. A heavy resin fell from the sky.

L1:C3-P5 - This was to punish them because they had not thought of the Heart of Heaven, called « Huracán » (Hurricane)... And for this reason the face of the Earth was darkened and a black rain began to fall, by day and by night...

L1:C4-P1 - It was cloudy and twilight then on the face of the earth. There was no sun yet...

L1:C4-P2 - The sky and the earth existed, but the faces of the sun and the moon were covered...

L1:C4-P7 - The face of the sun had not yet appeared, nor that of the moon, nor the stars, and it had not dawned... And all this happened when the Deluge came...

L3:C5-P9 - Then, fires of humans became extinct and they began to die of cold... They cannot bear any longer the cold or ice; they were trembling and shivering with cold...

L3:C5-P14 - There was much hail, black rain and mist, and indescribable cold...

6:5 - Yahweh, the Chief of Elohim(s) saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth...

6:7 - And Yahweh, the Chief of Elohim(s), says : « ...I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land; for I am sorry that I have made them...

6:17 - ...I am bringing the flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life, from under heaven...  »

7:11 - ...on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the sky were opened. The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights...

7:17 - Then the flood came upon the earth for forty days...

7:18 - The water prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth...

7:19 - The water prevailed more and more upon the earth...

7:20 - The waters rose fifteen cubits higher...

7:21 - All flesh that moved on the earth perished : birds and cattle and wild animals and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind.

7:22 - Everything on the dry land in whose nostrils was the breath of life died.

7:23 - Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out... and they were destroyed from the earth...

In the Popol Vuh, the description is similar to that of the Deluge of the Torah (or the Christian Bible), but with amazing details : « ...It was cloudy and twilight then on the face of the earth... the faces of the sun and the moon were covered... A heavy resin fell from the sky... the face of the Earth was darkened and a black rain began to fall... There was much hail, black rain and mist, and indescribable cold... ». This description is reminiscent of the inferno of Dante.

Other Mayan writings say: « ...at the time of the ancients, the Earth darkened... The Sun was still bright and clear, and then reached the zenith, it darkens. The light of the Sun returned only 26 years after the great flood... ».

Comparison of two ancient cults of stellar renaissance

As the Book of the Dead and the Texts of the Pyramids of ancient Egypt, the Popol-Vuh explains that the dead are reincarnated in the stars..

The two ancient cults, compared below, come from two different continents, separated from each other by a great ocean... They indicate that the deceased « are transported in the sky and become stars... ». In the Popol-Vuh, they are two Hero Twins, Hunahpú and Xbalanqué, and their four hundred companions, in Egyptian texts, they are Pharaoh and his companion Hu.

L1:C7-P13 - In this way the four hundred boys died, and it is said that they became the group of stars which because of them are called Motz...

L2:C14-P17 - Here is the account of the death of Hunahpú and Xbalanqué. Now we shall tell of the way they died. Then they rose up in the midst of the light, and instantly they were lifted into the sky... Then the arch of heaven and the face of the earth were lighted. And they dwelt in heaven.

Then the four hundred boys killed, also ascended, and so they again became the companions of the two Hero Twins and were changed into stars in the sky.

The « Book of the Dead » learns to the deceased to overcome the dangers and gives him the password for accessing the different stages of the journey in the afterlife.

When the Pharaoh becomes a lone star, his companion is Hu, a primitive Egyptian God personifying the authority.

Since the 3rd dynasty, the idea of rebirth was developed. It was « the idea of a life after earthly death ».

This new life expectancy will continue in the spirit of each Egyptian to give him the desire to be reborn with his King in another world among the stars...

Ancient Egyptians had a very advanced idea of energy which they materialized in the Djed pillar. The life of human beings, like the life of the celestial stars, is based on the exchanges of energy that perpetuate this life (see: the mystery of Dendera, an eBook of Franck Gordon). The ancient Egyptians imagined that our planet Earth is surrounded by an ocean of vibrations where the creative powers take shape. They saw every human being as a beam of interacting, perpetually renewed waves.

As Champollion, the French Egyptologist, said : « ... the spiritual revolution will arise from ancient Egypt, that will enable human being to communicate again with the Gods... One must decipher its sacred language, these words of creation which give the instruction to use the celestial energy. The ancient Egyptians had no other ambition than wisdom. They did not get this wisdom as the result of a belief, but in seeking to understand the Universe... It seems that we can say the same thing of the ancient Mayas... »

Inquiry on the World Creation.

Our planet might have been terraformed by unknown beings coming from space and time.

As the Torah (or the ancient Bibles), the Popol-Vuh of Mayas Quiches relates the story of Creation. The narrative of Earth Creation is strangely similar in these Books. In both cases, the texts tell about a « Group of Creators » and not only a single Creator: the Elohim(s) in the Torah (or other Bibles), and the Creator, the Maker, Tepeu, Gucumatz, the Forefathers in the Popol-Vuh.

The Popol-Vuh makes a detailed report of the way our planet was terraformed at the time of Creation by an unknown extra-terrestrial group, similar to a demiurge group, that the author of this essay prefers to name « Gods Engineers ». In this regard it is interesting to note that for several decades now, researchers and engineers have been conducting scientific studies on our planet to « terraform » planet Mars.

In this digital book, the author describes the various research and assumptions made on these mysteries and also on unusual objects coming from space and time.
